Weak disturbances may bring isolated scattered showers at times Monday through Wednesday, mainly along the central Sierra and south of Lake Tahoe, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.

Locally, we can expect above normal temperatures through the week, with the possibility of precipitation beginning Friday, with a slight chance of light showers for most of the Sierra and into Western Nevada.

For Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, the weather service says high temperatures will be in the low to mid-60s to near 70 by Friday. There’s a slight chance of isolated showers on Tuesday for the region, possibly thundershowers Wednesday in the Sierra.

Another system is possible early next week and it looks to be a colder, wetter system. However, given model trends with previous storms coming in weaker, it is unknown at this time if it will produce much in the way of precipitation, according to the weather service.
