The storm door remains open with multiple and relatively weak systems expected to keep daytime high temperatures below 40 around Carson City and impact the Sierra through next week, according to the National Weather Service.
The first storm is expected to bring snow to the Sierra as early as midnight Friday with a 50 percent chance of scattered snow showers in Carson City through Saturday with less than an inch expected. This is a fairly weak storm and is only expected to bring a few inches of snow to the Sierra with around 6 inches along the Sierra Crest.
There is a chance a secondary slider type band will form Saturday night and bring some snow to western Nevada, though less than an inch of snow is expected around Carson City.
Another fast moving weak storm is expected on Monday with most of the impacts expected in the Sierra. Wednesday through Thursday another storm is expected to impact the region. This storm is currently projected to be stronger than the first two but still not a blockbuster by Sierra standards, according to the weather service.
Daytime high temperatures around Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas are expected to remain in the mid to upper 30s.
