After falling to 15 degrees below the average daytime high temperature over the Labor Day weekend, temperatures will quickly rebound to around 10 degrees above average, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
The current forecast has Friday and Saturday coming within 1 degree of all-time record highs. The all-time record high temperatures for the 11th and 12th of September are 96 and 95 respectively.
For the Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, this means the gradual warmup begins today, Monday, with highs in the mid-80s. On Tuesday, the high is expected to be near 90, with the low 90s expected beginning Wednesday through at least Friday.
