Low pressure off the coast will pull moisture north from the remnants of Hurricane Dolores. Showers and thunderstorm coverage will increase Monday and Tuesday with the best chances south of Interstate 80, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy rains as well as possible flash flooding will be the main concern with these storms, especially on Tuesday with thunderstorms posing a threat by Wednesday. By Thursday a southwest flow will bring a drying trend for the remainder of the week.
For Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, expect highs in the low to mid-80s through Thursday while at Lake Tahoe, highs will be in the low to mid 70s.
