Carson Valley Pops and Voices of the Sierra Choir to present free winter concert

Get your family in the holiday spirit and join Conductor Bill Zabelsky and Assistant Conductor Stephanie Reynolds as they lead the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. for an evening of seasonal music and song.

The free Annual Winter Concert at the CVIC Hall will feature such pieces as “Carole of the Bells, “Sleigh Ride” and “Polar Express.” A sing along of holiday favorites with the Voices of the Sierra Choir is also planned.
Plan to arrive early to check out the raffle items and enjoy a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink and take in the beautifully decorated CVIC Hall.

The Carson Valley Pops Orchestra is a 501©3 organization made up of musicians in the community who donate their time and talent to provide free concerts to Carson Valley. There are about 35-40 members consisting of both amateur and professional musicians and middle school, high school and college students as well. CV Pops has awarded scholarships to graduates the last 3 years.
