Labor Day weekend looks to have some wind with it at least through Saturday for Carson City and Lake Tahoe. Low humidity and gusty winds has prompted a Red Flag Warning through at least Saturday for Carson City, the western Nevada Sierra front and central Nevada basin, according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front passing through western Nevada will kick up winds this afternoon and Saturday, with gusts of 30 to 35 mph. This will result in choppy waters on area lakes, with Lake Wind Advisories also through Saturday.
Afternoon high temperatures Saturday, Sunday and Monday for Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton area will be in the low to mid 80s. Night time low temperatures will be in the upper 50s. Lighter winds are expected Sunday and Monday.
