Here is the Carson City area road report for Aug. 4-10. The Nevada Department of Transportation will be continuing road work on Highway 50 from Deer Run Road in Carson City to just east of Highway 341 in Mound House. There will be single lane closures on weeknights from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
The inside lanes of N. Carson Street between Musser Street and Spear Street will be closed in both directions weeknight evenings from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for street work.
There will be utility work primarily in the street shoulder on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the following locations. Minimal delays are possible.

— Lakeview Drive between Combs Canyon Road and Sandy Court.
S. Minnesota Street will be closed between Second Street and King Street on Saturday, August 11, from 11 a.m. to midnight for a special event.
In Douglas County, Nevada Department of Transportation work begins Sunday on Highway 395 south of Gardnerville. The work will continue Sunday evenings through Friday mornings. Minor construction-related traffic impacts will occur during the day, with periodic construction-related lane closures and delays taking place overnight between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Motorists are advised to drive at posted construction speed limits, or slower as necessary for conditions. The project is scheduled to complete by the fall. Potential future improvements in the area include a frontage road and more extensive turn pockets to align access along U.S. 395.
Work continues now through October on the Kingsbury Grade project along State Route 207 between Carson Valley and Lake Tahoe. The road is open with night work Sundays through Fridays, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will be single lane closures at night and intermittently during the day through the duration of the project, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
Elsewhere around Lake Tahoe and the Sierra from Aug. 3-8 are the following Caltrans projects: State Route 89 (Placer County): Work continues on a $41 million project from Tahoma to "Y" junction with State Route 28 in Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore that will upgrade storm water drainage and treatment systems, add curb and gutter, resurface and realign the road, add new left-turn pockets and widen shoulders on a 9-mile stretch of the highway. Completion is expected in fall 2016.
State Route 89 (Placer County) from Wilson Avenue in Tahoma to Olympic Drive in Tahoe City: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations around the clock from 10 p.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Friday for paving, roadway excavation and gas line work.
State Route 89 (Placer County): Work continues on a $4 million project from the "Y" junction of State Routes 28/89 in Tahoe City to Alpine Meadows Road making drainage and slope corrections on about a 4-mile stretch of Highway 89. Completion is expected this fall.
State Route 89 (Placer County) from the "Y" intersection to Alpine Meadows Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 10 p.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Monday and 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday for drainage work.
State Route 89 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $20 million water-quality project from 0.1 mile north of the Eagle Falls Sidehill Viaduct No. 5 in Emerald Bay to the Meeks Creek Bridge in Meeks Bay. This project is adding new drainage features, curb and gutter, and resurfacing a nearly 7-mile stretch of the highway. Completion is expected in fall 2015.
State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from Bliss Memorial State Park Road to 4 Ring Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for grinding and paving work. Also, motorists can expect one-way traffic control from Rubicon Drive to Victoria Drive from 10 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for drainage work.
State Route 28 (Placer County): Work continues on Placer County’s $50 million Kings Beach Commercial Core Improvement Project from State Route 267 to Chipmunk Street. The project will install curb and gutter, sidewalks, roundabouts and drainage systems to enhance pedestrian and bicycle mobility, improve safety and provide water-quality improvements. Completion is expected in fall 2015.
No traffic-interfering work is scheduled on the highway until after the Labor Day holiday weekend.
U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $12.1 million water-quality and roadway improvement project from the "Y" intersection of Highways 50 and 89 to the South Lake Tahoe Airport adding curb and gutter, sidewalks, new drainage systems and repaving the highway. Completion is expected this fall.
Aug. 4-8: U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Jewell Road to the "Y" intersection: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday for grinding, paving and striping.
U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $15.3 million water-quality project from Johnson Pass Road to Incline Road in Meyers to install new drainage systems, widen shoulders and add bike lanes in one section, and restore a section of the exiting bike path.
U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) at Sly Park Road: Motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for striping. Also, motorists can expect Sly Park Road to be closed to through traffic from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday and Friday for falsework removal, the eastbound on-ramps closed from 7 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, eastbound off-ramps closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday, westbound on-ramps closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday and westbound off-ramps closed from 7 p.m.to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for striping. The contractor is transitioning to Stage 2 of the bridge demolition and replacement work.
U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Ice House Road to Twin Bridges Road: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect the #1 lane closed at various locations from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for striping.
State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from the Alpine County line to the junction with U.S. Highway 50 in Meyers: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for paving.
State Route 89 (Placer County) from the Truckee River Bridge to the Nevada County line: Motorists can expect intermittent full highway closures at various locations from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for tree work.
State Route 267 (Nevada County) from the junction with Interstate 80 to Brockway Road in Truckee: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tuesday through Friday for bridge work.
