Two cases of swine flu in one week has forced the temporary closure of the Boys and Girls Club of Carson Valley, based at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School in Gardnerville. Club officials say they have scrubbed down the area where the infected children played. They say if there are no additional confirmed cases of swine flu among the club’s kids, the facility will re-open in a week.
Officials say the first swine flu victim has already been released from the hospital and has been returned home for what is expected to be a full recovery. The second child came down with minor symptoms only and has remained at home.
Parents are urged to seek medical treatment if their children come down with the swine flu symptoms, which are typical for flu…runny nose, muscle aches, chills, heavy head congestion, sometimes difficulty breathing.
