December 8, 2014 - 5:30pm

There are less than three weeks until Christmas — have you gotten all of your shopping done? Ladies Night Out is an opportunity to check items off your shopping list while supporting Family Support Council of Douglas County and their Domestic Violence Shelter.

The event, taking place inside the Holiday Inn Express in Minden, Nevada on Monday, December 8 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, offers an intimate and relaxed atmosphere where participants can shop with over 25 unique vendors while sipping wine and enjoying appetizers. Entry into the event is $10 and includes one glass of wine and unlimited appetizers.

With more than 30 prizes donated by vendors and businesses in the Carson Valley area, you will want to bring some cash with you so you don’t miss out on purchasing raffle tickets. All proceeds from the entry fee and raffle ticket sales will be donated directly to Family Support Council of Douglas County.

“Shopping for the holidays can often be stressful the closer you get to Christmas,” said event organizer, Pamela Mann. “This is an opportunity for women to have a relaxing shopping experience where they can support local businesses as well as a wonderful organization. We are proud to donate the proceeds to Family Support Council of Douglas County, and are also collecting personal care items for the women in the shelter.”

The mission of the Family Support Council is to provide education, prevention, and intervention services to support growth of healthy families.
