I Love Carson City’s Weekend Event Summary: July 16-17

Welcome to the weekend, Carson City. The Senior Follies have taken over the Community Center’s Bob Boldrick Theater. Kids won’t want to miss the Capitol City Triathlon: swim, bike, and run your way to the winner’s circle. Celebrate community at the second annual Sassabration and don't forget your bathing suit: the Carson Hot Springs will be free from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Find a feline friend at the Nevada Humane Society’s free adoption weekend. • 13th Annual Capitol City Triathlon at the Carson City Aquatic Center and Mills Park (day of registration begins 7am, $25-$35; 13 and over: Start times 7:45am, 11-12: 8:45am, 9-10: 9:30am, 7-8: 10:15am, 6 and under: 10:45am)
• "Always Lost: A Meditation on War” in the Western Nevada College Main Gallery in the Bristlecone Building (7am-8pm)

The annual Reno Corvette Club Show and Shine will give you something to drool over.
