The weekend has arrived in Carson City, what to do, what to do? The holiday bustle is behind us and a winter chill is in the air. It’s relatively quiet this weekend, but there are always a few options for entertaining yourself.
The Nevada State Museum and the Railroad Museum of Northern Nevada will be open, and are always a favorite for visiting relatives. The Visitor’s Center at Sand Harbor is offering a few lectures and Ranger-led hikes, or you could bundle up and take a sleigh-ride while you’re there.
Paradise Salon and Spa is offering a free Aqua Zumba class to help burn off some of those extra holiday calories. It’s a perfect weekend for ice skating at the Arlington Square Ice Rink.
If star-gazing is more your style, a star party happens every Saturday at the Western Nevada College Jack C. Davis Observatory, and this Saturday they offer a lecture on Leonardo da Vinci. A complete list is below the break.
