Patients are invited to begin lining up at midnight at the North entrance of Carson High School. Volunteers will begin passing out entry numbers to those inline at 3am with the clinic opening at 6am. Services are provided on a first come first serve basis and include: vision testing, free eye glasses made on site, dental exams, filings and extractions, general medical consultations, diabetic screenings and education, PAP smears and more.
RAM is an international organization that travels the country and throughout the world providing free medical services with no qualifications. This event is for those in Northern Nevada who are uninsured or underinsured, with no eligibility requirements and no ID necessary.
“I am proud to be participating in the upcoming RAM event. I look forward to engaging with the community and providing much needed dental care to area families. This is a fantastic opportunity for local health care providers to share our talents and give back to our community,” said Dr. Parsons.
Dr. Parsons joined Valley Pediatric Dentistry in August of 2015. She is a native Nevadan and received her undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. Dr. Parsons believes that the biggest obstacles for patients to maintain good dental health care are appropriate treatment and education on the importance of oral hygiene and its effect on long-term and overall health.
Further, Dr. Parsons understands the challenges associated with rural areas and accessing dental care due to time constraints and distance to service providers. She is committed to giving back to our local community and feels that the RAM clinic is an event that will provide Northern Nevada residents with needed health care services.
