LAKE TAHOE — Unbearable loneliness, crises of confidence, bereavement, loss of hope and struggles with faith are just some of the universal topics being talked about on the stage of the historic Boathouse Theatre at Tahoe’s annual Valhalla Arts, Music and Theatre Festival. "Talking With" is a unique collection of 10 monologues by 10 marvelous characters who are sure to make the audience laugh and think.

"Talking With" by author Jane Martin and produced in arrangement with Samuel French, will take the stage at the historic Boathouse Theatre Aug. 25 through Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. and on Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. The ticket prices are $18/$15 per person. And, on Aug. 26, there will be a Wine Tasting and Play, sponsored by Après Wine Bar for $28/person, $50/couple. Tickets are also available without the wine tasting.

“It’s sure to be an unforgettable evening of theatre,” stated Lori Cramer, executive director of Tahoe Tallac Association. “The cast pulls talent from all over the region including both shores of Lake Tahoe, Minden and Carson areas.”

Cast members from the Lake Tahoe area include:  Stephanie Grisby, Denise Wagner, Ginger Nicolay-Davis, Diana Evans, Anita Jones, Christina Proctor, Pam Taylor. Hailing from the Carson Valley are Ann Swallow, Teri Levy, and Kaitlyn Agajanian. There are four directors, including some cast members, lending their talents: Dave Hamilton, Pam Taylor, Dave Anderson, and Susan Boulanger.

The Boathouse Theatre is a structure that dates back to the turn-of-the century distinguishing it as one of Tahoe’s earliest preserved buildings. The Festival takes place at the historic Tahoe Tallac site, a 74-acre setting currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
