I hope you’re looking for a great time tonight, because it will be easy to find. Head over to the Brewery Arts Center for a special appearance by Delta Nove, a funky reggae-fusion band from Southern California; sign up for a membership while you're there to keep the great performers coming! Fridays at Firkin returns with Road Daddy playing on the Third Street Stage. The Whitehats are getting the party started at Carson Station. And Mo’z Motley Blues Band at Living the Good Life is sure to be a fun time.

  • CCAI Exhibit: BRIC Art 5 at the BRIC: 108 E. Proctor St. (8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm)
  • NAA Exhibit by artist Nancy Clarke at the Carson Visitor Center (8am-5pm)
  • Discounted passes for the Nevada State Fair Carnival for sale at the Carson Visitor Bureau: 716 N. Carson St. ($20 for an all-day ride pass; available until July 29; $30 at the fair)
  • Parking Passes for the Nevada State Fair on sale at the Carson City Treasurer’s Office in City Hall (8am-5pm; $20 for all four days; limited passes on a first come, first served basis)
  • Bowling Special: $1 per person per game at Carson Lanes (9am-4pm)
  • Virginia and Truckee Round-trip Steam Train Rides -leave from Carson City Eastgate Depot: on Flint Drive, off U.S. Highway 50 East at 10am- Depart Virginia City Depot 3pm (tickets limited, $52, seniors and veterans $48, kids 3-16 $32)
  • Kids Ride Free Friday on the Virginia and Truckee Steam Train (code kidsfree online ONLY on www.vtrailway.com; one kids ticket with the purchase each adult ticket; ages 3-16)
  • ‘Christmas in July’ Food Drive at Browsers Corner Book Store: 711 E. Washington (9:30am-6pm; receive a free Christmas book of your choice and a coupon for $1 off with donation)
