The Carson Library offers some great activities for the kids and Craft Tuesday today is one of them. While you’re there, head across the street to Browser’s Corner Book Store to check out the holiday offerings at their craft fair. ‘Break a leg’ to the talented students of Carson High Musical Theater: their Winter Ensemble Concert is at the Community Center tonight. Jazz and poetry return to Comma Coffee: the monthly performance of the Mile High Jazz Band begins at 7:30 p.m.

TUESDAY:

  • ’Divergence’ by artist Katie Lewis at the CCAI Gallery in the Courthouse: 885 E. Musser (8am-5pm)
  • Nevada Artists Association Art Exhibit featuring Howard Friedman and Photography by Chas. H. McDonnell, III at the Carson Visitor Center (8am-5pm)
  • Artists Walter McNamara and Lynda Yuroff featured in the OXS Gallery at the Nevada Arts Council: 716 N. Carson St. (8am-5pm)
  • Carson City Parks and Recreation Easy Walk: Ronald D. Wilson Memorial Park- Meet at James Drive and Mark Way (9am-10am)
  • Holiday Craft Fair at Browsers Corner Bookstore: 911 E. Washington (9:30am-6pm)
  • Books and Brags at the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada (9:30am-10:30am; included with admission)
  • Food Drive; Sock and Glove Tree for Do Drop In at Evergreen Gene’s: 1811 N. Carson (10am-5pm)
  • Nevada Day Art Show at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery in the Brewery Arts Center (10am-4pm)
  • Honky-tonk Guitar and Jug with CW and Dr. Spitmore at Comma Coffee (11:30am-1:30pm)
  • All you can eat Wings at Firkin and Fox (all day; $11.95)
  • $1 PBR at the Blue Bull
  • Arlington Square Ice Rink (Sessions 3pm-5pm or 6pm-9pm; $7/$5 kids, $3 Skate Rental; Afterschool Special- $5 for Elementary and Middle School Kids includes skate rental and one hot beverage during first session; Family Night- $5 per skater includes skates during second session, must have skating adult)
  • Craft Tuesday at the Carson City Library in the Kennedy Children's Corner (3:30pm-4:30pm; free, supplies included; park at the Community Center or at Smith’s Grocery)
  • Eagle Valley Day at the Pizza Factory on Hwy 50 (20% of the entire day’s earnings will be donated to the Student Athletic Department)
  • Family Night: Kids Eat Free at the Lake Tahoe Brewing Co. (4pm-close; one kids meal per adult meal purchased)
  • Wine Night at Kristopher’s Café: 939 Mica Dr. #20 (4pm-8:30pm; ½ off wine, dine in only)
  • Muscle Powered Conditioning Hike: C Hill- Meet in the parking area on South Curry behind the Railroad Museum (4:30pm-6:30pm)
  • CCAI Exhibit: Botanical Impressions, Claudia Knous’ fiber arts exhibition in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center (available during public meetings and most evenings 5pm-8pm)
  • Two-for Tuesdays at Kim Lee’s Sushi (5pm-close; buy one, get one 12 oz. beer or small hot sake)
  • Wine Tasting at Alatte inside the Carson Nugget (5pm-7pm; $5)

  • Blue Star Moms: Sierra Chapter #2 Meeting at the Nevada Army National Guard, 2460 Fairview Drive (6pm)

  • Beginning Swing Dance Lessons at El Charro Avita (6pm-7pm; $8)
