June is Bike Month in Carson City, and the weather is being more than cooperative. Bike to work week begins Monday, so get back in the swing of things with the Muscle Powered Bike Ride this afternoon. If motorcycles are more your style, Bike Night at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar is the place to be. Don’t forget to stick around for karaoke. You’ll find beginning guitar lessons for kids at A to Zen: a fun way to pass some summer vacation hours. Read through for the rest of today’s things to do for even more fun to be found in the area.

  • Early Primary Election Voting at the Carson City Clerk-Recorder's Office: 885 E. Musser (8am-6pm)
  • ’Pinhole Properties’ exhibit by artist Nancy Raven at the Community Development building [formerly the BRIC]: 108 E Proctor St (8am-12pm and 1pm-4pm)
  • Nevada Artists Association Art Exhibit featuring Pam Brekas and Photography by Chas. H. McDonnell, III at the Carson Visitor Center (8am-5pm)
  • Muscle Powered Easy Hike: Centennial Park's Back Door - Meet at the east end of Bohr Rd. (9am-10:30am; Bring water, a friend, and well-mannered dogs if you wish; hiking poles recommended)
  • "Imagination" and Members Regular Art Show at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery in the Brewery Arts Center (10am-4pm)
  • Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Sierra Chapter 403 Luncheon and Chat–Young Eagles fundraiser at 2500 E. College Pkwy (11am-3pm, all welcome; $6 -Hamburgers and Hot Dogs with all the fixings, Chili, Baked Beans, BBQ chips, Potato Salad, Choice of Desserts and Coffee)
  • Family Storytime in the Carson City Library Digitorium (11:15am-11:45am; get ticket in the auditorium)
