UPDATE 9PM: From Carson Valley Times: The 15-year-old runaway from China Spring that had made threats about committing a school shooting was apprehended and taken into custody at the Walmart on Topsy Lane just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday night.
The juvenile had run away from China Spring Youth Camp on Oct. 10 and during the subsequent investigation in the following days was determined to be a danger to himself and others.

Douglas County authorities are looking for a 15-year-old runaway from the China Spring Youth Camp in Gardnerville who has made threatening statements of committing violent acts at area schools, authorities said late Thursday.
During the subsequent investigation the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office determined runaway John Luna may be a danger to himself and others. Luna has made threats he intends to go to a school to commit a school shooting. At this time the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is unable to determine which specific school.
This report is not intended to instill fear but to make the public aware of this threat, said Douglas County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Pat Brooks. Authorities as well as the Douglas County School District are working closely to ensure the safety of the school facilities and students and have taken appropriate security precautions.
Luna is described as five feet, seven inches tall, approximately 150 pounds, fair complexion and a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt, khaki pants and a beanie with flames.
