Austin’s House and Carson City Toyota Scion invite you to the 7th annual Cowboy Mardi Gras fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 27 at Carson Valley Inn. Put on your jeans and cowboy hat to celebrate the party atmosphere of Bourbon Street in New Orleans on Fat Tuesday.
This casual and crazy fundraiser that runs from 6 to 10 p.m. features great food, music, dancing, raffle prizes and a silent auction.
Carson City Toyota Scion donated $4,000 to sponsor the fundraiser and ensure a successful night for helping our local children in crisis. Austin’s House is very grateful for the generous support from Carson City Toyota over the last seven years.
“Donating back to the community is a 30-year tradition at Carson City Toyota Scion, said General Manager Dana Whaley. “It starts out with our owner Dick Campagni. We are proud to assist worthy non-profits like Austin’s House.”
Austin's House provides emergency shelter and compassionate care for up to 10 children between the ages of birth to 18. The children who are placed at Austin's House have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. For more information about the organization, go here.
There will be a special Grand Prize drawing for a Disneyland vacation valued at $1,548. The package includes four Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets worth $137 each to visit both Disneyland Park and the Disneyland California Adventure Park plus a $500 Visa card for expenses. You need not be present at the Cowboy Mardi Gras to win the grand prize. You can purchase Disneyland Grand prize tickets for only $20 each from Austin’s House or from any member of the board of directors.
The Cowboy Mardi Gras starts at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Then you will feast on a delicious western barbecue buffet dinner featuring sirloin beef, smokey pork ribs and fried chicken with all the trimmings. Beer, wine and cocktails are also available.
After dinner, the Cowboy Mardi Gras party hits full stride with music and dancing. Raffle prizes will be drawn every 30 minutes. The fabulous silent auction has wonderful donated prizes from local businesses. It is great fun and for a great cause.
The ticket donation for the festive Cowboy Mardi Gras Dinner and Party to benefit Austin’s House is only $60. Tables of 10 are available for $600. Only 200 tickets will be sold and less than 30 tickets are still available. Please call Austin’s House at (775) 267-6711 to order tickets.
