Spring around western Nevada continues to bring unsettled weather to the Carson City area. An upper level low will linger over the region this week bringing cooler than average temperatures and chances of showers with isolated thunderstorms each day, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will warm late this week as some of the cloud cover breaks apart; highs will reach the mid 70s in Western Nevada and the mid 60s for Sierra valleys.
However another wave may move over the Sierra this weekend keeping the potential for isolated showers in the forecast while cooling afternoon highs back into the 60s for Western Nevada and into the 50s for Sierra valleys.
For Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, there’s a 30 percent chance of scattered showers through Monday night, a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms Tuesday and a 50 percent chance of showers Wednesday.
