The latest weather statement this morning from the weather service in Reno calls for heavy snow in the Sierra this weekend with temperatures cold enough for snow to fall along the valley floors through Carson City, Carson Valley and Reno.
We may begin to see the beginning of the storm front move into area Thursday into Friday with gusty winds of 50 mph in the valley regions, with higher gusts along Sierra ridges. The brunt of the storm should hit Saturday. For the latest go to carsonweather.com.
