Brewery Arts Center October Event Lineup

This Saturday, Oct. 11, 7 p.m. in the Performance Hall, Kim Copel presents Charley Darkey Parkhurst – Stagecoach Driver.

The performance will be followed by discussion. Tickets $12 at the door, $8 members, $10 in advance. Tickets available at www.breweryarts.org Ride along with ole one-eyed Charley as he takes you on the ride of your life. Runaway stages, robberies, eccentric passengers and ghosts from Carson City to Carson Valley, and on up to Lake Tahoe. Hurry on up now…Ole Charley’s stage waits for no man…or woman! Kim Copel’s “Western History ALIVE!” programs are dedicated to sharing the history of local characters in a fun and exciting way. She has appeared at theaters across our region.

Also this Saturday, Oct. 11, 7pm, in The Maize Harris Jesse Theater, the Brewery Arts Celtic Series presents Cíana–Traditional Irish and Celtic Music.

Tickets $15 at the door, $8 members, $10 n advance at www.breweryarts.org For the last four years, this high-energy quartet has played extensively throughout Northern Nevada and the Eastern Sierra. Be prepared for some serious toe-tapping.

Follow the Brewery Arts Celtic Series by visiting www.breweryarts.org, happening on second Saturday of the month in the BAC’s MHJ Theater and hosted by Joseph and Kathryn Bly of Cíana. With extensive backgrounds in music performance, production, and promotion, Joseph and Kathryn will bring a selection of great, local, Celtic music and dance to audiences in Carson City. Beer and Wine available at Foodies Bystro till 8pm. If it’s warm, eat outside on the sidewalk or bring it in. Doors open at 6:30. Concerts from 7pm to 9pm or so.
