All areas of Clark County posted gaming win increases for January, leading to an 18.37 percent gain statewide over prior year.
The Gaming Control Board report released today showed that casinos on the Las Vegas Strip took in $623,512,323 in January, a 29.16 percent increase over the year before.
While the southern part of the state saw increases, almost all areas north of Clark County saw declines. The Carson Valley area, which includes Carson City, was down 3.7 percent in January, and Washoe County was down 6.16 percent. South Lake Tahoe was one of the few bright spots in the north, with an increase of 2.08 percent.
For the fiscal year, the statewide gaming win is up 3.69 percent over the prior year.
